5 Star - Favourite Colour? by Scazza 5 Star - Favourite Colour? by Scazza
Well I have finally got around to finishing this piece, I called it "Favourite Colour?" because in this photo I was wearing practically the same colour top to bottom and as you may now know blue is my favourite colour.

So I thought it would be nice to have the title Favourite Colour :)

Enjoy and Comment as usual please :D

Very nice indeed - my only gripe would be with the face looking too flat, which sounds ridiculous considering it's a vector but it's not in keeping with the rest of the pic and so looks like its instead covering up a part of the image rather than actually being the image - does that make sense?

I dunno, maybee it just needed to be a diffrent colour - regardless its some mighty fine work! :D

agree with you 100%, so dont worry u aint seeing things and thanks for putting it. I thought the face looked kinda out of place, i think its all the shading with the light in the rest of the vector and the face has non.

mmm - I agree - either no shading on the skin at all (not my favoritest idea, but you never know it might work, better to use pure white to make it negative space though) or simple shading to describe the nose and general face structure - I can see what you were atempting with this, but it just needed some conformity to make it complete - no worries though! :D

Absolutely brilliant. For some strange reason leaving out the faces is such a great decision. It's all about finding a balance between detail and minimalism and doing it like that seems to work well every time.

The shirt and the lighting is just great

very cool (as always)

i like how the level of detail is pretty consistent throughout the piece (i.e. one part doesn't have much more shading, etc. than the other parts), the face excepted, of course.

how do you determine your palate? your colors always work very well together. the only thing that doesn't seem a bit out of place is the color of the face, which i assume was intentional.

i also like the inclusion of (what appears to be) the lance armstrong bracelet.

Thank You :D

How do I determine my palate? I just roam through the colours for my background and that as for my clothes and that, that is preditermind by the colour of the clothes.

Yea it is my lance armstrong bracelet, which in fact broke today :( luckily I have another one though :D
